Tales of the Abyss. The 'big bad guy' is the leader of the church, who is trying to make the old prophecy come true. You play young Luke Fon Fabre, a clone who is trying to get the world to walk on it's own two feet, and stop a war that was predicted to happen. Because he is a clone, he was never part of the prophecy, and thus can make changes to the route history is making. What are your thoughts?

Everybody pretty much already knows about it. Certain parts of the prophecy (the war) (the world begening to collapse) is restricted to higher level priests. People on this world have 'the score' read to them on their birthdays by priests, to find out what they should do for that year.

I'm currently playing this right now, and really, I find it to be spiritually uplifting, particularly on the part of Luke himself. We have one who starts off haughty, arrogant, rude, loud, and altogether deplorable. But his character development after his grave mistake (find out for yourselves) takes him down the road of humility, and then to maturity. He is fully changed, just as the way God will "give us over" to our worst flaws to show us how wrong we are.
