/w/isdom is the stuff of Proverbs. If you have or need good advice, here's the place.
/w/ - for talking about the Bible and life and what it means to you. You say what your opinion about some aspect of life is in hopes that there will be an exchange of /w/isdom.
Saying "אֱלוֹהִים isn't real" or "the Bible is false" will get your post deleted and possibly a ban. Go to /i/ for that.
Bible-believers only in this board, please.

I'm here to ask a question:

Doesn't Christianity indoctrinate children? I mean, there are a few I've met that do their best to test their faith in ways the LORD hasn't...

But I honestly don't see a 5 year old being able to make that kind of decision. I understand wanting what's best for your child, but I'm more of a fan of the find God in your own way sort of thing. I'm an Anti-theistic Agnostic, (mostly because of the Crusades, the Inquisition, European witch trials, suppression of free speech vs. Galileo, persecution of gays, Jesus telling you to give your posessions to the poor and yet, somehow, the Catholic church alone has more money than Microsoft when there's people starving to death worldwide, etc.)

But, even though I despise religion, and the evil I see it induce in humanity, I would not tell them "You can't know if there's a God and you can't know which religion is right" every Sunday for the first 15 years of their life, let alone disown or frown upon my children for following a certain religion of their own accord. It's their decision, I want to let him/her make it.

Pic related, it's kinda sorta what I believe. ish.

if >>7060 is the same person who posted these then you dont know what socialpaths are. they are people without a conscience. they beleave what theyr doing is never wrong or immoral. its the lack of compassion and would be classified as a human oddity. they do not feel or care about others and can do horrific things without even giving a second thought couse they have no conscience. i repeate THEY HAVE NO CONSCIENCE! it dose not exist and they are born this way. these statments that were quoted are absured and do not work and are not in scripture. their brain is messed up and they feel no pity or regret. your quote "There's still no excuse" makes no sense if they DO NOT HAVE A CONSCIENCE TO JUDGE THEMSELFS BY!

i study alot of phycology on the side of religion by the way so good luck. make a better arguement with proof to show with your statments. and please learn what a socialpath is befor posting again and stop thinking that what you beleave is how you get into heven couse the bible says compleatly difrent unless you show proof of your words.

There's no excuse, the law is written in a sociopath's heart.

Plus, there are Bibles all over the place and Christianity is common knowledge.

And for אֱלוֹהִים's sake, get a spell checker. It's really eroding your claims of intellectual superiority.

i never said i was superior i just happen to study on this issue and use commen sense daily. im touched that you feel i am superior minded.

im afraid you dont understand a socialpath still but ok. this is all about your loony idea of being able to go to heaven if you didnt receave knowledge of the bible. youv yet to back up with scripture but i'll accept it. in romote places of this earth there are still cultures not tainted with outsiders beleafs. we can agree on this yes? i mean this loony idea of yours is based on that some one dosnt hear of it is it not? so lets assume so. ok now please explain the socialpath thing. and mind you you avoided the question intirely. thing is you cant explain it can you? i may not be the best speller but i answer my questions and show proof on it. your turn to rationalize this couse its immpossible based on your theory and just utterly destroys your theory making it untrue even without scripture.

Greetings, residents of Christchan.

First of all, this isn't a trolling, and I would appreciate reading the entire post before the laying of the B&hammer. I am not a Christian, and I have my reasons for that. I do not believe there is a single cosmic being that resembles us in any reasonable, or superficial sense. I don't believe Jesus was real, or white. I feel that the Bible as it's known today is a compilation of outside faiths, primarily pagan, designed to do nothing more than control the masses. To be blunt, I don't believe what you believe. I realize that this is an amazingly controversial thing to say on a board like this, but I say it to further illustrate the point of my being here.

I am not a monster. I will not attempt to press my thoughts on the matter on you, and I fully expect you to read what is above with a shaking head, and a prayer this evening. That's fine, I have no objection to that. Furthermore, I have no objection to anyone having faith. There's nothing wrong with it, and there's no point in starting a flamewar over it, which brings me to why I'm here in the first place.

I am appalled at various anon's attempts to troll the residents here. I've looked around this place, and most of what I see is friendly people trying to share their thoughts on God, faith and life in general. You've carved for yourselves a niche on the internet, where you can gather, and be with others who feel as you do, and this is pretty much the summation of any such place. That being the case, I see no reason to instigate attacks on this board. I've yet to see any Unanimous attacks on other boards, and can't think of a good reason to "retaliate" against a group of people who haven't harmed or offended me in any way.

I trust that you understand that not all of Anonymous feels the need to hurl obscenities or disturbing imagery at you, and for what it's worth, I'm sorry for that. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and faith, and there is no good reason I can see to troll this board.

If nothing else, I hope to convey that not all of Anon feels the need to ruin your

I'm not trying to avoid saying His name; I'm trying to point out that the general noun we use to refer to elohiym is the name of a particular el and that the name of my El is Ya`hweh. The most shocking way to do this? Wordfilter "god" to the Hebrew spelling of "elohiym" to demonstrate that an obfuscation has taken place.

Would this not insinuate that pre-marital sex is okay?!
>> No. 6713 ID: 1518ec
>>6524

Personally I say if you aren't old enough to be in a position to get married, you shouldn't be dating at all. You are just going to lead yourself right back into temptation.

I would recommend birth control as a backup if you absolutely must. It's still a sin, but you can at least try to minimize the effects of your sin. You really aren't making God any happier either way.

>Would this not insinuate that pre-marital sex is okay?!

You are the one who insinuated pre-marital sex is okay when you gave in to temptation. We are all flawed and God acknowledges this; there is no sin in anticipating our flaws, only in falling prey to them.
>> No. 7046 ID: 072119
Abstinence is the only right decision when it comes to pre-marital sex. That is a sin you committed and now you have to deal with the temporal consequences along with the spiritual consequences. I'm not saying this to be all hell-fire and brimstone, but to make clear what has happened with no bulldung. This is serious business, as you know.

Be a man and do not let that child die; It is yours as much as hers, even more so it is God's. If she is pregnant then God has willed it to happen in some way and it is for good and not for ill. Life won't be easy, but it will be for the best. Ultimately trust in God and in Jesus is the only way to deal with all of the troubles of this life.

Just don't take the easy way out, the path to Heaven is hard but worth the effort.

Greetings, Christchan!

My name is Georgie Welles, and I'm a devout believer in Christ. Ever sicne I was a little boy My mother brought me to the worship with her, and it is their that I lerned the beauty that was Mighty Ones and his grace and his son and his spitit.

It is there that I also learned the things which Christ and his fater do not approve of, namely homosexuality and harry potter. homosexuality is an afront to Mighty Ones hisself and it is disgusting, yet harry potter protrays the evils of magic and things away from Mighty Oness earth. as you can see, i like pokemon and sonic, which are both a series of animals born of Mighty Oness earth, which means they are okay with the big guy!

anywho, my brother is gay, and he never went to church with my mother. he has a boyfriend, and lives in the city. being that you're all giving wisdom i was hopeing you could help me out, and offer me some wisdom as how to deal with my flaming waste of a faggot brother?

thanks, your pal,
Christ in you,
Georgie

"I think the best thing you can do is ask the Lord, through the Grace and Passion of his Son, Jesus Christ, to empty your heart of the hate and rage towards your brother and fill it instead with love. It is true that Gοd does not love your brother's sins, and on the contrary he loathes them. But even so, even to the same degree he loves your brother so much that he would sacrifice His only Son to erase them.

What is more, you are not Gοd. Have you not heard where Scripture says, "Judge not lest you be judged in your turn?" For you too are a sinner, and even though you may think your sins are less than your brother's, in the eyes of Gοd all sin is equally wicked, all sinners fall equally short of His glory.

So instead of asking us what to do about your brother, ask the Holy Spirit what you can do about yourself, renew your commitment to living in the spirit of Christ's love, even for the worst of sinners, and pray that He will remove the shackles from your brother's heart and show him the light."- well said and to add to the grow up get that poo out of your room, move out, get a girl, and be a man.

greetings to all on this board. i am a regular visitor of /B/abylon, but recently have been looking for something more substantial in my internet viewing. i am an agnostic, and constantly moving closer to atheism, but that's information for another time. the point is that i enjoy stimulating and intellectual conversations with random strangers, and this seems like a good place. i also feel like i've gotten out into the habit of stereotyping christians, since extremism is so prevalent on the web. honestly i need to reassure myself that christianity isn't all gay bashing and creationism. you all seem like an intelligent and accepting bunch, so maybe you can help me with that.

i am also currently in college, majoring in philosophy and writing, if that tells you anything about me.

i plan to post a lot more, and have designated /w/isdom as my board of choice, seeing that i value that virtue over all others. so hopefully you all are glad to have me, and i look forward to many fruitful discussions in the future.

Etc., etc., I'll stop pretending like I already knew all this stuff and just link to the video that makes the claims I'm quoting.

If anyone wants to refute this guy's refutation, /cult/ would be a good place to do it.

Dear /w/.

I met this girl on Thursday and things went great.
But she says she doesn't know if she wants to get into a relationship right now because she just got out of a 10 month relationship 2 weeks ago. But she didn't seem like it when we hung out. I would never have guessed she just got out of one. It seemed like she was craving me. How can I help her come around to the idea of seeing me steady?

Don't obsess over her, it repels instead of attracts. Make her laugh. Think of the times you are naturally funny, and get in that mode. Let her see you interact with people you are close to. Be considerate of people like waiters with her. Avoid friend mode by taking her hand when the time is right, but go slow. Be a human being. Respect her. Accept whatever happens; chemistry is everything, and all you can do is be yourself.

umm wow. the whole thing of you posting her pic and needing/wanting advice is kinda creepy. you seem prety obsesive.....let me guess the first time your askin out a girl and your a pretty timid person who dosnt talk or hang out with girls much.

ok heres my opinion-shes not into you. trust me. im pretty rico sueve with girls. she probably likes you as a friend an nothing more. im not shure of how you look but she might be intersted in other types. not trying to say your bad lookin couse i dont know who u are or what ur like but thats my guess from what i can get so far. its eather she dosnt want you OR it could be shes still likes her ex and may get back with them(another most likly).

looking at her and the area your photo was taken id say you lived in the suburbs. saying that (if im right) shes not into timid or nice guys. a turn on for her type(i sterio type some people)id say shed be more into the jock or mostly prepy guys. shes into the guys that wear polo and abercromby and fitch and are confadent and strong and ASS HOLES. if so id say that theres little chance you would have even if making the right moves. but i'll give advice if its true what i said and try to help you out. i honestly need a little more to go on like personality and things there into to give you the best ways to get her.

I can understand the want to include Jesus in everything, after all, he is the center focus of your life. But really, do you seeking support Christ is needed for every trivial task? Even when making a snowman?
